I still don't know who gossip girl is on her blog, because she talks o=about everyone that I know in the book and I have no suspicions.
Is it a girl from school? Or maybe its Blair or Serena but mentions herself to get out of the clues to lead to her. I also want to know if she is specificly spying on the girls, like who sees B's mother holding hands with her new bf. I mean really, talk about creeper.

Characters throughout the book.
So far in the book, Cecily Von Ziegesar has introduced a handful of characters. The main characters are Blair Waldorf, Serena van der Woodsen and Nate. Some other characters are their mothers and Blaire's friends from Hanover Academy, her school.
Blair Waldorf is a regular rich, pretty brunette that lives in a penthouse Upper East Side New York. She went to a rich school and was popular with lots of friends, got to do whatever she wanted, as long as she kept up her appearance and reputation, and had a boyfriend she could do anything with. She has everything.
Now Serena is the complete same as Blair but has had many more boys to hook up with, yet she is madly in love with Blair's boyfriend, Nate. She also gets in trouble alot more than Blair, there fore causing herself to be kicked out of her new traveling, boarding school that she left to attend two summers ago.

Geting closer to Blaire Waldorf.
Have you ever wondered what Blaire felt like when Serena came back? Imagine your best friend right now and you do every single thing together. Then she moves somewhere and is traveling the world while studying and that's her new school. While she's gone you and your boyfriend get closer now that she is gone since your boyfriend and best friend had a special something and you and her lost touch and you are not her friend anymore because she hasn't called you back or anything. A summer passes by and you and your boyfriend are closer than ever and at a your mom's dinner party one night, your ex-best friend is back. Almost instantly your frozen from shock while your boyfriend practically runs to her. You would feel horrible right? That;s pretty much what Blaire felt like.
Conflict in Gossip Girl
I have read to page 39 in Gossip Girl A Novel and there seems to be some conflict for Blaire. Ever since Serena has been back she has been stuffing her face just to not talk to her and that's not what Blaire does. Especially after she made her self throw up the food after wards. Talk about YUCK! Any way, I think the rest of the plot is going to be about Blaire having to deal with having her ex-bestfriend back again, while her boyfriend is in love with her but won't com out and say it because he is dating Blaire and likes her too.

A Link Between Gossip Girl and Life
Have you ever noticed that one girl who just walked in to your class on the first day of school and just sit right next to the cute guy you were eyeing and deciding to sit next to and just starts talking to him like no big deal? She looks like she has been at the beach all summer long and is wearing possibly the smallest size and lastest trend that you were saving babysitting money for. That is exactly what Serena van der Woodsen is in Gossip Girl. She is the girl who went away to a boarding school, came back this year, probably got kicked out of boarding school, and is just crushing your dreams like an everyday mean girl in an everyday highschool. Although in Gossip Girl, every character is rich and they go to a fancy highschool, it still is surreal. Gossip Girl also relates to the movie Mean Girls, because the mean girl, Regina George, is the girl who stole her friend's boyfriend, but the friend is still Regina's friend because Regina is popular, and so is Serena. But don't let those girls get you down, because I think farther in the book, Serena loses her popularity and Blair takes over.

First Post About: Gossip Girl A Novel
I have started reading the book Gossip Girl A Novel by Cecily Von Ziegesar. With reading the back, for a view of what it will be about before I start it, it talks about how there is a girl that is back from boarding school and they call her S. It is in the perspective of someone typing a blog and goes by gossip girl and that how that if she, and possibly her friends that are close to her, don't be careful, S could be the girl that fits into the dress that you couldn't and steal your brother's and boyfriend's heart away from you. It seems to me like S could be your, as the reader, enemy that always out do's you and makes you strive to beat each other at everything; so realistic to world we live in today. It makes me wonder though is why S left to go to boarding school. I also have read a few pages and am very interested in how Blair and Nate's relationship will work out and how S is going to act since Nate is in love with her.
